Quick Notes

V is has the streetkid origin that is built as a netrunner. As a mercenary he has a reputation of being ruthless: those that live only do so because he let them go to leave a message, or at the explicit request of whoever put out his contract. Otherwise, he always leaves a trail of corpses behind. Quickhacking is his favorite method of dealing with threats, but he's also an accomplished sniper and sharpshooter. When things are too close for comfort he also has his mantis blades.

He can often be a little short on words and keeps things to his chest, but he does his best to be relatively pleasant up front. While he does try to be generally agreeable or at least neutral. He personally keeps people at arm's length because Night City is only good at generating trauma and not so good at helping people healthily cope with it.

SMART weapons aim for the wielder by using smart rounds (caseless, guided ammunition) that lock on and seek out their targets. Smart bullets can curve around obstacles to hit targets, but travel more slowly than conventional bullets. SMART weapons require Smart Link cyberware to enable smart-targeting, with better links providing better tracking, as hits are not guaranteed. Smart weapons do not accept suppressors or scopes.

A sleek black box with the letter V engraved on it. At rest it is this simple, though in use it it developes a circuitry pattern in Arasaka red that is very reminescent of the Relic.

V1:
V will find a sleek, matte black box waiting at his doorstep, marked with a subtle, shimmering emblem that signifies the balance between the technological and the mystical in Magisteria. This gift, from the heart of Magisteria's welcoming committee, contains a personalized digital compass.

The compass is more than a navigation tool; it's a symbol of V's journey, designed to guide them through the intricate weave of tech and magic that defines Magisteria. The note accompanying this sophisticated device reads: "To the traveler who walks the fine line between shadow and light, may this compass be your guide through the realms of the unknown. In Magisteria, where paths diverge and mysteries abound, may you find your way, making allies of both circuit and spell. Let curiosity be your compass, and may it lead you to wonders undreamed of." While it starts as a tool for navigation and understanding, the tool may have greater technological properties which have not yet been revealed!

V2:
The compass will evolve such that it grows levitation and transformation properties, which can be used together: the compass can become a series of knives, a gun, or it can transform into various tools. On the weapons side, it can shoot small projectiles like blades or ninja star type weapons -- all with the gleam of the tech Bios infusion. But it can also transform into other tools, such as a magnifying glass or whatever other handy thing V might need.!
