[ It takes V almost no time at all before he's padding back to Kerry.

He didn't have much in the way when it came to aiding against the negative effects of alcohol or drugs; nothing more than what was relatively standard, anyway. Your cataresist, a biomonitor to speed up repairing whatever damage he did to himself. He'd had a few experiences with ODing and having a few medical bills that he wasn't proud of but vices were hard to kick, especially when you had no intention of actually kicking them.

The risk hardly mattered to V. He was already a dead man walking. He probably should not be so inclined to waste this second chance, but what the hell. He was with Kerry and if he died here with Kerry over something this stupid then sure, why the hell not. This wasn't the first rash decision V'd made, it wouldn't be the last. V took the joint from Kerry, holding his hand out for the lighter. ]

Got cataresist. You're gonk if you think I'll letcha test it first.

[ V was the one that was expendable of the two of them. If whatever it was just brought pain and didn't kill him then that was fine - he had pain editor. If it did kill him, well, at least it was him and not Kerry, not to mention that Kerry had the nomad to worry about too. ]

Aw, you're still my favorite bodyguard, V. [Kerry teases as he hands over the lighter. Sure, most bodyguards were invested in taking bullets for their charges but taking the first hit of a new drug worked for that too.

He doesn't actually feel that worried that either of them is at a lot of risk, despite the need to voice the possibility aloud. He wouldn't have brought it to V if he really thought otherwise.]

[ The bodyguard comment simply earned a chuckle. In truth V's not really all that worried either, but if something did happen and he didn't insist on being first? Never forgive himself. And he still hadn't forgiven himself for leaving his own Kerry.

As he sank down next to Kerry he lit the joint and took a deep, practiced drag. He didn't exhale immediately, offering the joint over to Kerry as he set the lighter down. After a moment he exhaled. ]

Mm, been a while. [ He turned his head to look at Kerry, his expression already losing much of its usual intensity. ]

[Kerry enjoys watching V relax. It tugs at his heartstrings. He takes the joint when it's offered and takes his own practiced drag. As he settles into the sensation he shifts so that his arm is pressed against V, allowing them to lean against each other.

The contact means they'll experience their own highs, but also get the edge of each other's high. For a while, he's quiet as they pass the joint back and forth and try out the new sensation. The high comes upon him and feels almost exactly like smoking pot back home. That's good. He settles into that feeling as easily as he might sink into a warm bath.]

[ V honestly couldn't recall the last time he'd been given the opportunity to just relax like this. Even before the relic he'd always kept busy, always been on the move. The only time he was ever this still was when he was asleep, and that usually required a cat on his chest to discourage restless sleep.

When the high does hit V mostly feels warm, a little giddy, but mostly he feels safe. He leans over to rest his head on Kerry's shoulder, maybe snuggle up a little closer. ]

Ha. [Kerry makes an amused sound at that idea. He takes a long drag on the joint before passing it over to V. He exhales slowly, letting the smoke surround him.]

Not always, kid. Had a long life, 'member? Plenty o' mistakes in that time. But... plenty real good ones too.

[ V knew that Kerry's life before him was important but it was something they'd never talked about to any real depth. Sure, what was with context to Johnny, but outside of that? V didn't really know much.

V took the joint from Kerry and mirrored the long drag. He starts to slowly exhale out of his nose, then out of his mouth as he speaks, offering it back. ]

They really mistakes if they got us here?

[The high that he's experiencing makes him feel warm and affectionate. He chuckles at V saying that he's only made good choices since they met. That's a laugh, considering he held Us Cracks at gunpoint for the crime of covering one of his songs. His chuckle turns into more of a soft laugh.]

Right here? You mean... on a weird alien planet?

[ Be that as it may, he didn't go through with it, and he had a rather good relationship with them. At least, V's Kerry did. To the point that V even started doing jobs for the girls. Kerry's chuckle, then soft laughs, absolutely warmed V to his core.

It seemed as Kerry finished his question that they were contagious and V shook his head a little, giggling. ]

No, you gonk. [ His voice is filled with affection. ] I mean yes, but. Here. This moment.

You mean together, yeah? Here as in 'with you thinkin' about kissing you as soon as my body agrees to move?'

[ V grinned and slowly shifted. ] Thinkin' 'bout a lot more'n kissin' you. [ He leaned in and kissed Kerry. ]

[Kerry presses into the kiss, responding to the action with his own hunger. Through their physical connection, they can share each other's highs and the desire that's growing between them.]

[ If anything their connection makes V more hungry for Kerry. Something about the reassurance that this is what Kerry wanted made him want it that much more. Even through the high there was a bit of fire and eagerness to V as he deepened the kiss, one hand already searching for the hem of Kerry's shirt just so that he could feel him. ]

[Kerry pushes his body up so that V can get an easier hold on him. He had let his body sink into the couch, but now he's interested in letting V undress him and explore his body.]
